Piggies

Potbelly pigs are our specialty. They come in many shapes, sizes and temperaments but we love them all!

Delilah

Delilah is a piggy that came to live here on 3/23/13 after living in poor conditions with no real shelter and inadequate nutrition for over a year. She was out in the blizzards, hurricane and bitter cold winter weather without adequate food yet she still loves people. She has an absolutely delightful personality and we hope to place her in a home where she will be the center of attention. She talks up a storm and loves her belly rubs. Pigs can be very forgiving.

Pluto

Pluto is a handsome guy who was found running loose in the woods of Foster. Due to the presence of an auction eartag we believe he escaped from a local livestock auction. He was frightened and frantic when he got here but he is doing well, has been neutered and is waiting to go to his forever home soon.

JD

I came to PM in August of 2004. At only one year old I was stray pig living in Foster. I did my best to take care of myself but unfortunately I often upset many people in the neighborhood by rummaging through their yard. It took over a month to catch me but with patience and the help of ACO Pat Howarth I was brought to Potbelly Manor.

I love my life at Potbelly Manor, sharing a barn with Benjamin, Amelia and a new young'un Petunia aka Rachel, one of Paige's piglets born in December 2009. I have secretly taken a liking to this young rascal and can often be found laying around in the piggy yard watching her antics. I do however find her unrestrained yelling around feeding time very annoying and undignified, especially at 4 am.

We are all very happy and appreciate our good food twice a day, a pool to dip in when it's hot and treats. Thank you Tracey for our tarts on the weekend!

Sadly, JD passed over the Rainbow Bridge in 2011. We miss you JD!!

Amelia & Benjamin

My brother Benjamin and I came to Potbelly Manor in October of 2005 at the age of two. Prior to us moving into the Manor we were neglected and it was not uncommon for us to go days without eating.

Now we know we will never miss a meal again; we even get two in one day plus treats!! We are thrilled to know we will be living at Potbelly Manor for the rest of our lives and enjoy every minute in our blessed home.

Well, to be honest we are not impressed by Petunia aka Rachel who joined us recently and find her level of energy irritating, especially when she comes and jumps on us when we're sleeping! We can't figure out why JD associates with her. It's ok to be in touch with one's happy place but she is a bit excessive! We here in the front barn are very happy but in a sleeping-24-hours-a-day kind of way.

Amelia and Benjamin joined JD at the Rainbow Bridge in June and July 2012. We miss you!

I joined the gang at Potbelly Manor in the fall of 2009 when my owner and I moved to Rhode Island.

Buddha

I came to Potbelly Manor in January 2008 and now live in a great home with Katie and Jeff. My original owners had me for six years and then decided that they didn’t want me any more. I stayed in the kitchen on my bed all day long. Because I don’t like walking on hardwood floors, my owners were able to prevent me from moving around the house by not having my bed near any carpeted area. I was not really socialized so I was hesitant (and sometimes cranky) when it came to meeting new people but at Potbelly Manor I had a bed in the living room where I get loads of attention, food, treats and am able to walk around!

Good news! I made such progress that I have gone to live with my forever parents Katie and Jeff who live in Rehoboth. Look at the picture of the house they made me! Wow! I am soooo happy! In the summer of 2010 I got two playmates-Skittles and Pickles, who were Pearl's babies born in February 2010!!

Olive & Hannah

We are two of Paige's babies, born June 10, 2009. We lived with Paige, our sister Pearl and a whole bunch of different animals at a place that closed. We came to Potbelly Manor in August 2009 and learned how to eat out of dishes - we each had our own (although Olive wanted both)! We had quite a different diet - special food made just for pigs like us, along with vegetables and some hay to chow on. We were so happy our little tails wagged so much they never stopped! Plus we had our very own house with straw and blankies! We didn't like getting "spayed" and having shots but we got over it quickly. We have gone to our forever home - here we are sleeping with out snouties together.
