Ariel, the current queen piggy of the rescue is part of Potbelly Manor's pet-assisted therapy program. She visits local schools to teach children about being kind to animals and spreads cheer at nursing homes.
Ariel's story: Ariel came to Potbelly Manor in April of 2009. Her mother was one of 100 pigs rescued from a hoarding situation in Pennsylvania. Thankfully Ariel was still in her mother's belly and was spared the ordeal.
Her life is now one of privilege and joy - she's treated like the princess she is at Potbelly Manor!

June 25, 2010:
Ariel enters show biz as a political pig named "Earmark" and falls in love with Uncle Sam!
She and Uncle Sam starred in the commercial "Joy Ride" for the Bender for Senate campaign.
Ariel and Uncle Sam
Ariel poses in the back of a 1960s Monte Carlo, waiting for shooting to begin (or waiting for someone to deliver her slightly chilled organic carrots with a side of Cheerios)
Ariel takes a bribe from one of the crew to stay seated while the director contemplates the angle of the shot.
A view of the set as equipment is assembled in preparation for shooting.
Wait! Mom stole my Uncle Sam! Where's my manager! I want to renegotiate my contract! Where's my organic carrots! Bring my filtered water!
A normal day hanging around at the farm, contemplating trouble.....
