Mooo Are We? - About Us

At Potbelly Manor our rescue activities are 100% devoted to pigs.

We do have many other rescued animals that live on the farm as permanent residents but only take in and adopt out pigs (sorry cats, dogs, ferrets, bunnies....we really do love you!).

Ariel says "Welcome!" Scroll down to meet the folks who make it happen!

Smith & Agli's Potbelly Manor is a potbelly pig rescue dedicated to improving the lives of potbelly pigs and other farm animals.

Feeding, cleaning, socializing animals, providing medical care, coordinating adoptions and all the other tasks associated with running a successful rescue and sanctuary is a 24/7/365 affair here at Potbelly Manor. We live on the property, ready to respond instantaneously to the needs of our animals. As the permanent residents age they often require medication and attention in the middle of the night for such ailments as arthritis and dementia.

Running an animal rescue is not for the faint of heart. Manual labor in all temperature extremes, goodbyes as animals pass over the Rainbow Bridge, having to turn down the never-ending requests for assistance when we are full and other trials are far outweighed by the miracles we witness on a daily basis.

Witnessing an abused pig regain its love of life, seeing a huge St. Bernard lay down and cross his front legs in contentment, introducing children to animals they otherwise wouldn't have met-every day is a gift and we wouldn't have it any other way. Making the difference in the life of an animal is a priviledge we are honored to have.
